About the Artist - Ho, Tchien
Ho, Tchien is a master of space and
color. Her vibrant paintings have appeared in an art show in
Chicago as well as in the Dyansen Gallery internationally. Her works are
highly individualistic, although she has been influenced by the ancient
Buddhist cave paintings of Tun Huang.
Ho's interpretation of the figures,
particularly of women, is modern and full of movement and
vitality. Her creative energy seems to be unleashed when she
enforces her line with unexpected color patterns.
Her brush strokes are precise, clear, and
elegant. Her use of line provides the visual language in her
paintings. The bold colors have unerring boundaries within her
undulating outlines. Her linear techniques maximize the
brilliancy of the colors. She has artfully blended the precision
of lines with the richness of color effects.
