| Diana's many trips to Hawaii and her strong
interest in the legends, have resulted in a body of work that reflects
the strength and the beauty of Polynesian people and the environment in
which they live.
These paintings have a feeling of serenity, perhaps best described by the following observation: "I am concerned with stillness, and the fact that there is so little of it in our lives. Symbolically speaking in a way, I have dedicated my existence to sitting by the well or spring. That is where the water of feeling flow; where the greenness of possibility occurs and where inspiration comes. That is what I hope my paintings convey." |
