About the Artist-Diana LaCom
Through her paintings, Diana LaCom has maintained a connection to the world around her, and all the paintings emerge from drawings, whether of nature, people in a mall, or a model in the studio.
Light - direct, reflected and especially the sense of light emanating from an inner source or spirit - and the human figure have long intrigued painter Diana LaCome and form the basis for her work, which she describes as "form growing out of light and line.
I always try to achieve a sense of what is below the surface, what is that gives a great depth to the subject."
For many years, the Village Galleries of Lahaina has represented her in Hawaii.
A number of her paintings and reproductions of her work has been sold internationally.
