About the artist-Jean Louis Mireault 

Jean-Louis Mireault was born in Montreal, Canada.  He is a master at the delicate art of watercolor on silk.  Mireault has found a way of giving colors new brightness enhanced by the addition of many details.  He now lives in Vercheres near Montreal, Canada. 

The country side is his principle source of inspiration.  Mireault paints both urban and rural scenes.  He also produces still life with flowers and fruits, and symbolic animals.  He obtains tones which rival the softness of pastel or the sharpness of relief engraving.  His inspiration is not sophisticated, on the contrary, a certain naivety is evident and there is a joyous aspect to his works.    

Mireault exhibits regularly in Quebec.  He is an annual participant at Le Salon Des Métiers d'Art de Montreal.  We can find his paintings in Australia, France, Switzerland, the USA and in every provinces of Canada.  Jean-Louis Mireault received the gold medal at CAPSQ, Canada in 1999.
