About the Artists of Spring Collection
 | Lorraine Christensen: Lorraine is a multi-medium artist, her watercolor,
pastel and silk paintings has won numerous award from art competitions
in San Gabriel Valley, Southern California. Her works are in the
collections of private and corporation sectors. |
| Diana La Com: For many years, the Village Galleries of Lahaina has represented her in
Hawaii. A number of her paintings and reproductions of her work have been
sold internationally. |
| Betty Hopper: Betty Hopper was born in England and came to New Zealand.
Her
interest in art started when she was a child. She designed wearable
art which culminated in her running her own private sessions and teaching
evening classes for adults at the local high school. In 1994, she started her
silk painting. Many of her efforts have been sold world-wide. Her favorite
designs are floral and abstracts. She enjoys experimenting with various
techniques and love the vibrant colors coupled with the different textures
available in silk. One of her silk paintings is featured in the 2001
Juried All Media Exhibition at Palos Verdes, California. |
| Jan Janas: Nationally recognized artist/teacher/author.
Jan is a
professional textile artist who has been sharing her expertise of silk painting
for over nineteen years. She coauthored three popular silk painting books:
The
complete Book of Silk Painting, Creative Silk Painting, and The Best of Silk Painting.
She has published magazine articles, released twelve videos on the
subject of silk painting and has demonstrated silk painting on many of the
instructional television programs. |
| Sanchia Lin: Sanchia Lin has been working on multi-medium for over 10 years.
She has spent years developing her talents as an artist and experimenting
with a variety of techniques and medium. Her work has won many awards and
is regularly exhibited in area galleries and international exhibits such
as New York Art Expos, SPIN International Congress, Decor Gallery in
Canada, Dallas Art Buyers Caravan, Thousand Oaks Art Association Juried
Show. One of her fabric collages is featured in the 2001,2002
Juried All Media Exhibition at Palos Verdes, California.
Her solo exhibition at the Norris Gallery in Palos
Verdes was from Jan. 28 to March 3, 2002. |
| Jean Louis Mireault:
Mireault exhibits regularly in Quebec. He is an annual participant at Le Salon
Des Métiers d'Art de Montreal. We can find his paintings in
Australia, France, Switzerland, the USA and in every provinces of
Canada. Jean-Louis Mireault received the gold medal at CAPSQ, Canada in 1999. |
