A space for students of creative practice
The University of East London, School of
Architecture and Visual Arts (AVA) is situated in the heart of one
of Europe's major centers for urban renewal. It has attracted
major support from European and London development agencies, which
has enabled the expansion of the Docklands campus.
The campus has a Docklands Light Railway
train station which connects to the underground - in total, twenty
minutes to the West End of London. Opposite the campus is
London's City Airport for European destinations and international
connections. The school of Architecture and Visual Arts
building is a space for students of creative practice.
The school of AVA houses a range of
workshops: surface and textile print, fashion construction and
manufacture, digital media, broadcasting and photographic studios,
plus audio-visual production suites, together with screen-based
print, etching and woodwork facilities, lecture/seminar theatres,
and a gallery space for students, staff, and visiting professionals.
