A space for students of creative practice
The Fashion Textiles Area has four
undergraduate programs: Printed Textiles with Surface Decoration,
Fashion Design with Marketing (four years including a one-year
internship) Fashion Design, and the unique BA Fashion Futures, and
MA International Fashion Futures.
Printed Textiles and Surface Decoration
provide a rich mix of creative disciplines, focusing on developing
fundamental skills, in addition to the new digital technologies in
printed textiles for fashion fabrics, home wear, wall covering, and
gift wrap. Drawing, in a traditional and technological sense,
contributes to creative craft and CAD outcomes explored in all
modules. Real world experience is gained through projects
directly sponsored by industry and through external placements.
Graduating Printed Textile and Surface
Decoration students exhibit at the internationally recognized New
Designers show at London's Business Design Center in Islington, an
international showcase for Textile and Surface Design graduates.
